As we drive through the city, you'll also see the Arch of Constantine, which commemorates the victory of Emperor Constantine over Maxentius in 312 AD. We will also briefly stop at the Mouth of Truth, a large marble disc with a carved face, believed to be an ancient lie detector, and we'll visit Teatro Marcello, one of Rome's oldest and most beautiful theaters, built in the 1st century BC.
Our tour concludes with a drive through Largo Argentina, where Julius Caesar was assassinated. You'll learn about the events leading up to his death and the aftermath that followed.
